Shark alerts for your beach

Lulu's Law alerts don't start until November. Shark season starts now.

Congress just ordered shark-attack phone alerts — but the FCC has until late fall to build them, and they only fire after an attack. SharkWatch alerts you to confirmed bites AND sightings near beaches you choose, starting this summer. Install once. Forget it. It taps you when it matters.

The government is building this. It won't be ready for beach season.

May 2026

Lulu's Law passes Congress 401–6. Shark attacks become eligible for Amber-Alert-style phone warnings. Huge win.

Jun – Oct 2026

The gap. The FCC has 180 days to act. All summer — peak beach season — there is no federal shark alert. And when it arrives, it only fires after an attack, right where it happened.

Fair questions

Where does your shark data come from?

We continuously monitor local news, lifeguard and beach-patrol reports, official sighting networks, and public research feeds across the US coast. Every alert is verified by a human before it goes out — our rule is simple: if we wouldn't pull our own kids out of the water for it, we don't send it.

Isn't the government doing this for free?

Yes — and we think Lulu's Law is fantastic. But federal alerts start ~November 2026, only trigger after an attack, and only where it happened. SharkWatch warns you about sightings too, for beaches you choose, starting this summer. Different job.

What if the app doesn't ship?

Then you get every cent back. Founding payments are refundable any time before launch, no questions asked, and the launch target — July 4 weekend — is in writing right here.

Does it track my location?

No. You save beach regions; we match incidents to those regions. We never follow your phone around. Simpler and more private.

iPhone or Android?

Both. SharkWatch installs straight from the web in under two minutes — no app store wait.
